Composition and installation
Any wood-look LVF is made of all vinyl while stone-look flooring often has a base layer that contains limestone. In other words, you always see and walk on the vinyl layer. The backing layer makes up 90% of the product's thickness. This flooring usually has a thickness that ranges from 10mm to 12mm, or about 1/8", while the cheapest ordinary vinyl flooring is about 1.2 mm thick. The flooring can be glued to the subfloor or pieces can be clicked together without glue and floated over the subfloor. Floating floors can be installed by DIYers, we suggest that you go with a professional installation.
